To be a good Paladin player, you’re going to want a mix of Punish (blue) and Holy (yellow) skills in your rotation. In general, your Punish skills will be used to quickly build up your Piety Meter. Your Holy skills are used to buff your team. Let’s go over the most common skills used in each category.

Both of these class Engravings require a specific build. That includes what other Engravings you run with the class. To keep it simple without diving too much into specific builds (we will have an advanced build guide for the Sharpshooter available at a later date), here’s a sample set of recommended Engravings that can work on both class Engraving bui

In simple terms: Combat Readiness is for a tanky, shielded build, whereas Solo Knight is for a burst damage and DPS build. Leaning into the Gunlancer’s advantages means that the Combat Readiness Engraving is the one we’d recommend for a juicy, powerful PvE build. It enhances your defensive abilities (shield) while also providing you with plenty of damage buffs. However, Gunlancer is a super-balanced class, and if you’re looking for pure burst damage output, there is a very reliable DPS crit build using the Lone Knight Engraving to clear dungeons and other endgame cont

The Gunlancer is a heavy tank class that provides some shield buffs for your party, as well as by far and large one of the most useful skills in the game: a taunt . The Gunlancer also has a powerful shield that lets you ignore a lot, if not all, attacks – even those from bosses. This means you can stick right in the face of the boss, taking heavy hits (even staggers and knock-ups) while consistently doing damage. The class relies mainly on heavy burst damage with the Lone Knight Engraving or for consistent, sustained tanking with the Combat Readiness Engrav

The Paladin is designed as a tanky support class that can provide team benefits in both PvP and PvE. Abilities come in two styles: Yellow (Holy Skills) and Blue (Punish Skills) . These are divided into support and attack damage skills— Yellow for Support, Blue for Damage. However, don’t think you’re going to be much damage. While you can pick up some damage for leveling, your role is solely to support. **** That said, they deal more than enough damage to progress through Chaos Dungeons or Towers on their own.

Death Orb: Damage targets to build up energy for one of three Death Orbs. When one or more Orbs are charged, you can enter Deathblade Arts mode to gain increased move speed, attack speed, attack power, MP recovery, all while reducing your skill cooldowns. Lost Ark’s Paladin class—otherwise known as the Holy Knight—is one of two support roles in the Anime game updates, matched only by the Bard. The class is valuable in both PvP and PvE content and is one of the more reliable classes to pick up and play for your first run through the game.

This style of build utilizes Spincutter, Soul Absorber, Moonlight Sonic, and Blitz Rush to dish out some serious damage. Some of these abilities are charged, so be sure you’re behind the enemy before you begin to rotate through your abilities. With enough Specialization and Crit , you should be able to carve through opponents and maintain Remaining Energy’s various buffs with little is

Crit Rate of Red skills (damage/Gunlance) increased by 15%. Crit damage is increased by 50%. You cannot use your shield, and shield meter is consumed 100% times faster in Defensive Stance.

How do these two Engravings play out? How they impact the Gunlancer’s playst

Piety Meter: Each time your attack hits a target, the Piety Meter increases. It also passively gains charge. At max charge, you can activate either Sacred Executioner or Holy Aura. Sacred Executioner enhances your Punish skills, while Holy Aura grants you and nearby allies 10% increased attack damage. You cannot gain Piety while either buff is active, and the gauge resets when either effect ends. Only one of these buffs can be active at a time.

The class Engravings for the Gunlancer dictate your style of play, which means they definitely have more of an impact on your playstyle than other class-specific Engravings. Like other classes, the Gunlancer has two: Combat Readiness and Solo Kni
