After loading into the Shepherd mission area (a sectioned-off area consisting of Levin Resorts), players will want to quickly depart from the drop helicopter , as the mercenary SAM sites nearby are preparing to fire. Drop to the beach below, and push up the beach through the mercenaries. Beware of the proximity mines scattered across the beach . If players head to the left after leaving the helicopter and approaching the beach, taking cover behind the stone structures, they can easily approach the base of the main resort building where the SAM missiles are located. There may be two or three mercenaries in this area, but if players stick to the left and travel through the concrete structures, they will easily avoid most conflict, with the biggest threat to players while on the beach being the snipers posted on the resort build

Once Fang approaches, board the helicopter with Dr. Jansen and head back to Operation Deadbolt headquarters . As the helicopter flies away, the story cutscene will begin, and players will complete the Extraction mission. Be sure to watch the entire cutscene (unfortunately, there is no way for players to skip the cutscene), if players back out while the cutscene is playing it will count as leaving the game and players will not get successful exfil credit , and will lose all weapons, items, and gear. Allow the cutscene to play, and once complete players will be taken to the mission report screen and lock in all the rewards earned from completing the Extraction miss

The exfil location will be easily identified with the same symbol as the Extraction story mission. Hovering over the icons will provide players with text confirmation of the proper story mission exfil. Players will want to consider acquiring most of the perks (if not all) in preparation for this story mission, which will task players with an extended escort mission requiring defense against a Mega Abomination boss monster. In the hallway on the south end of the building there is a staircase that will get players to the first roof level – be cautious of the spawning horde and the holed-up mercenaries in the fire station. Solo players should definitely consider Stamin-Up before attempting this contract – since solo players will find the most efficient way to complete this contract is to drop one inhibitor on all six spores in a circle then run back past the spores and destroy them. Solo players should try to avoid and corral the spawning horde rather than fight.
