In fact, it is one of the most pirated games Ubisoft has ever created. Why? Because you can’t buy it legally anywhere. It’s missing on Steam , GOG , and even Ubisoft’s own UPlay store. It receives that attention for good reason, though . This game allowed players to control any vehicle on the road, allowing for some creative puzzles and narrative elements no other driving game has since attempted. It is also the only video game to attempt a second-person perspective for a level. This game was truly innovative and creative, which makes it even worse that you can’t legally purchase it anymore.
Despite the lacking features the developers promised, Fable managed to carve its own fanbase thanks to its unique sense of style and humor. Combat was engaging, letting players choose between a mage, fighter, or ranged playstyle. If this series got a second chance and had the ability to implement all of its promised features, it would be one of the most highly praised RPGs of this decade.
Not even the most avid fans could defend it. Not only did it signal an end to the franchise for the foreseeable future, but it was also the beginning of the studio’s descent into mediocrity. We’re hoping with all out hearts for BioWare to get back on their f
As far as indie horror games go, one of the most intriguing titles on the horizon is easily Undying . A freshman effort on the part of studio Vanimals, players take control of a mother and son as they attempt to survive in a zombie apocalypse. While there are no shortage of zombie games out there, the mother/son dynamic of Undying is something different, and the game’s unique art style will also help it stand out from the cr
Technically, Mortal Kombat never really died, it held on by a thread during the PS2 generation. Titles like Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon made several changes to the formula, making the series unrecognizable from its roots except for the trademark aesthetic. After Midway closed its doors and the studio was picked up by Warner Bros., Ed Boon and his team became NetherRealm Studios and got to work on a return to form. 2011’s Mortal Kombat brought the battles back to a two-dimensional plane and added a story mode where bouts were divided up by detailed cutscenes showing the game’s soap opera-esque narrat
A third title was created as recent as 2017, but that title pulled away from the massive battles of the first and the tactical gameplay of the second, resulting in no fans being satisfied. As far as most are concerned, the last true Dawn of War title was the second game, with its last expansion releasing in 2011. Few RTS titles could combine epic spectacle with casual RTS gameplay the way Relic did with Dawn of War .
Fiction’s most famous secret agent has made undeniable contributions to the medium. GoldenEye 007 on the N64 revolutionized the first-person shooter and local multiplayer games. After the 1997 masterpiece, a steady stream of releases came through until 2012 when 007 Legends stopped it all in its tracks. The compilation of famous playable set pieces throughout the franchise was panned as one of the worst first-person shooters in recent memory. Since then, not even murmurs of a new game have popped up. Given the character’s relationship to the medium, he deserves a glorious ret
It remains to be seen exactly which games Microsoft will be showcasing at the July Xbox 20/20 event. However, there are plenty of great, dormant franchises that Microsoft could revive to generate some extra excitement for the Xbox Series X, with these 10 arguably having the most potent
Capcom is expected to make a new game announcement at the show, and while a new Dino Crisis is not the likeliest scenario, many are clamoring for another entry in the survival horror action-Adventure game missions franchise. Capcom’s E3 2019 announcement will have the final say on the matter, but the company has expressed interest in returning to this franchise in the p
Shinji Mikami let it be known that he was going to be at E3 2019, but it was anyone’s guess as to what new project he would announce. Instead of revealing another Evil Within game at Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference, Mikami announced GhostWire: Tokyo , which is being directed by the energetic Ikumi Nakamura . We only got to see a cinematic trailer for the game, but from what we can tell, GhostWire: Tokyo looks plenty creepy, and with Tango Gameworks at the helm, it should have little difficulty satisfying horror f
It’s true that Rare largely struggled to produce compelling experiences since Microsoft’s acquisition in 2002, but one exception is Viva Pinata . A bizarre take on the life-simulation genre, Viva Pinata sees players raising and breeding living pinatas while completing a variety of objectives. Noted for its eye-catching art style and quirky humor, Viva Pinata spawned sequels and even its own television series. A new Viva Pinata could fill a niche on the Xbox Series X and appeal to the more casual gamers out th
